Professional Experience

    City of Ottawa

    LRT Rail Operator Training Simulator

Spearheaded delivery of technical, hardware and software upgrades for a fully functional, virtual reality rail operator simulator.

Defined project objectives, scope, deliverables, and implementation approach to finalize project charter.

Directed a ten-person team for new LRT track infrastructure, signaling, train control systems upgrades and re-modelling.

Mitigated risk by designing and enlisting various departments to construct and deploy an onsite, Wi-Fi-enabled table-top model for hands-on, real-time training at OC Transpo headquarters.

Chaired project divisional meetings and European rail providers meetings (virtually). Liaised with LRT Project Lead, ensured contract compliance, deliverables and schedules were adhered to, adjusted, and approved.

Department of National Defence, Garrison Petawawa

Worked with key stakeholders including Defence Construction Canada, PWGSC, contractors, architects, engineers, LAN teams, and vendors, providing expertise and support during the development and design process to identify the BoM for this complex, multi-phase project. This project consisted of 2000 Cat 6 cable drops and fibre optic backbone.

Managed and negotiated material pricing and delivery; matched material deliveries to the stakeholder resourcing plans to mitigate project cost overruns.

Before installation, reviewed and validated network infrastructure technical designs (including network cabling, telephony, and data fit-ups).

Collaborated with stakeholders, liaised with construction teams and internal DND project team to track and monitor change orders and prepared project status progress reports for stakeholders highlighting, escalating and resolving areas of project risk throughout all phases.
